We are pleased to be able to offer group counselling.
Counsellors are qualified with a BA Honours Degree in Person-Centred Counselling and experienced in working with a broad range of issues and are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Working therapeutically in groups allows individuals to experience how they relate to others whilst in a safe and facilitated environment, helping them to develop their communication skills, and understand and express their feelings openly and authentically in front of others.
Individuals can become more confident and feel less alone as they experience being heard within the group, and as they listen to and support others sharing similar issues, giving them the ability to develop their self-awareness, accountability and acceptance of themselves and others. Group work provides an effective alternative to one-to-one interventions.
