Make a Difference & Volunteer with Us

Volunteers are at the heart of Feathers Futures. We could not do what we do without you.

We know everyone has their own strengths, skills, and life experiences. Whatever time you can give, and whatever your background, you can help make a real difference to women in our community.

At Feathers Futures, volunteers are part of our family. When you give your time, we give you support. You will receive friendly training, guidance, and chances to learn at your own pace.

If you would like to volunteer, we would love to hear from you.

Volunteering with us can help you:

“Our wonderful volunteers at Feathers Futures are so valuable to us. We never know what the day will bring, they provide an extra pair of hands and a listening ear, fundraising help and more. We wouldn’t be Feathers Futures without them.”

The King’s Award for Voluntary Service

Feathers Futures is proud to have received The King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
This is the highest award a charity can receive for volunteer work; it is the equivalent of an MBE for charities.

The award recognises the hard work, care, and kindness of our volunteers.
When you volunteer with us, you join a team that has been honoured for making a real difference to women in our community.

Hear from our volunteers

“I would describe Feathers Futures as inclusive, warm and understanding. The staff and volunteers are some of the warmest, kindest people I have ever met. The environment at Feathers Futures is so warm and welcoming, the team, the volunteers, and the whole ethos.

One of the most rewarding things is when I see a positive change in someone’s outlook when I see a chink of self-care and self-love appearing, then I know together we have made a positive impact and the start of a brighter future.

To anyone considering volunteering at Feathers Futures, I’d say go for it! It’s so rewarding, whatever role you play. It changes you; it will change your perspective on life for the better. Knowing you can and have made a positive impact.” Nicola
